About Us :

Rev. Christian Fredrich Dittmar (1998- ), was St. John’s third pastor called out of Florida in succession! He was born in Miami, Florida, on November 22, 1946. He graduated from the University of Miami AB (1968) and from the Evangelical Lutheran Theological Seminary, Columbus, Ohio MDiv (1972). He was ordained at St. James, Coral Gables, Florida, on September 10, 1972. He married Julie Darling in 1971 in Colfax, Ohio. They have two children, Kristin and Andrew. Pastor Dittmar’s first call was St. Paul, North Tonawanda, New York (1972-77). He then served Ascension, Indian Harbour Beach, Florida (1977-88), and First, Brooksville, Florida (1988-98). He was installed at St. John’s on June 21, 1998. The 150th Anniversary of the congregation also marks Rev. Dittmar’s 10th Anniversary as pastor.

We are authorized by God tocelebrate and proclaim to all people in word and deed, the love of God in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
